Exclusive Lounge Hire

When you hire our fifth floor private members’ lounge, you will have everything you could ever need to run the perfect private event for your guests. With access to an exclusive bar, TV, in-house serving staff, picture windows offering panoramic views out to East London and more.

Our outdoor terrace boasts views across the city and a seasonal experience programme such as BBQs, Summer wine masterclasses and outdoor yoga classes in East London.

With a standing capacity of 40 and seated capacity of 30, the West Side is a cool and inspiring area to host your event in. With artwork adorning the walls and a show-stopping bar that is home to a state-of-the-art wine machine, we guarantee your guests will be raving about your event for many years to come. Terrace

Only available to hire in conjunction with our East Side Semi-Private Lounge Hire or full exclusive hire, the Terrace is a spacious and stylish outdoor space that will be the cherry on top of your already-spectacular event. Finished with stylish and comfortable furniture, the Terrace offers picturesque views of the city that are equally magical at sunrise and sunset.

 
 

PRIVATE EVENTS

FAQs

  • Our members’ lounge can be hired exclusively or as a semi-private hire agreement between the hours of 12.00 – 00.00, Monday - Sunday.

    Day hire begins at 12 noon and ends at 6PM, with evening hire beginning at 6PM and ending at midnight.

    We are also able to offer flexible hire times, accommodating both shorter time periods in addition to all day.

  • 11pm

  • If your external caterer is able to present the necessary certificates that are in accordance with the Food Safety Standards and Health and Safety Regulations, then we can allow external caterers at the additional charge of £15pp.

  • All drinks should be purchased from us unless there are very exceptional circumstances (e.g. product launch of a beverage). In any case, we would love to discuss this with you, so please do enquire for further details.

  • The Terrace can only be hired as part of the Exclusive Lounge Hire or as part of a Semi-Private Hire of the East Side.

  • We’d love for you to transform our home into something that is fit for your private event and we enjoy seeing how our guests adapt the space time and time again. Whilst we like seeing how you add your personalised touches, we do need to make sure that your decorations will not damage the space.

  • We understand every event is different and so we are happy to assist in re-arranging the furniture to accommodate you, however, we will not be able to remove items that are already there.

  • With your event being a matter of hours away, we know just how exciting the lead up can be. You’ll want to come in to make sure everything is perfect beforehand and so we are more than happy to accommodate. However, please hire the event space for the number of hours it is required (including decorating time) as we cannot guarantee it will be available earlier.

  • Everyone's taste buds are different, and we recognise our drinks packages might not be everyone’s cup of tea, so let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll craft a package that has been tailored especially to you.

  • Our pricing is based on the length of time you need the lounge for, with a minimum spend required.

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to guarantee the event, along with signing our event agreement. The remaining 75% will be required 30 days prior to the event date. Both payments need to be completed by bank transfer.

  • The finer details of your private event - such as no. of guests, plus the drinks and food required - are to be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to the event date.

  • Damage deposits are required to rent some of our AV equipment, which will be made clear to you upon the confirmation of hire. This is taken in the form of a pre-authorisation payment, which will be released after the event. Host an unforgettable event in East London with The Gate.
